Free daily word games for families who love language
I'm a technology consultant, artist, and writer who has spent his career building intelligent systems and applying machine learning to solve complex problems. When I'm not working, you'll find me painting, traveling, reading, or experimenting with data and code.
I created The Word Bee because my mom, my wife, and my daughter all love word games. I wanted to build the kind of site they'd actually enjoy playing on every day — free, simple, no accounts, no clutter. Just great word puzzles.
The Word Bee started in 2025 as a simple idea: what if there was a word game website that was truly free, required no signups, and was genuinely fun to play every single day?
I noticed that the people closest to me — my mother, my wife, my daughter — all shared a love for word puzzles. They'd play Spelling Bee, Wordle, and word searches regularly. But the experience was often fragmented across different apps, paywalled, or cluttered with intrusive ads and login prompts.
So I built The Word Bee. It started with a single Spelling Bee game and has since grown into a collection of seven daily word games, a library of over 33,000 word reference pages, and a growing community of players who come back every day for their daily dose of word puzzle magic.
Every game on The Word Bee is free, updates daily, and works on any device — phone, tablet, or computer. No downloads, no signups, no subscriptions.
We also provide daily hints for each game, comprehensive word lists for Scrabble and crossword players, helper tools, and a blog with tips and strategies to help you become a better word game player.
Every game, every tool, every word list — completely free, always.
Just open the site and play. No emails, no passwords, no tracking.
Clean design, fast loading, no bloat. The games are the focus.
Built for all ages. Safe, wholesome content you can share with anyone.
The Word Bee is built with simplicity at its core — plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with no frameworks, no build systems, and no dependencies. Every puzzle is pre-generated and stored as a simple JSON file. The site loads fast, works everywhere, and respects your privacy.
New puzzles appear every day at midnight, and the archive lets you go back and play any puzzle you missed. Your progress is saved locally in your browser — we never collect or store your game data on any server.
The word reference section contains over 33,000 pages covering word patterns by length, position, prefix, suffix, and letter combinations — a resource for Scrabble players, crossword solvers, and word game enthusiasts of all kinds.
Have feedback, a bug report, or a game idea? I'd love to hear from you. The Word Bee is a passion project and I genuinely read every message.
